peace to my heart

My cousin saw this birdcage at Curiosa
when she was here over the holidays.
I do not know if it sold, or not, but.....
Becky, this post is for YOU.
(I hope it makes you smile today)

This one is sweet...
"loved one at our side"

I am working today.
It is COLD and windy outside.
I have missed the studio - nice to be back.

samplers

Here is another of the samplers I did
for the Fireside Embroidery class

We had a wonderful time.
I will put some photos of the girls in the next post.

The pin in the top one (on the right at the bottom)
is a new one for my friend Cheryl,
who needed a little something "orange"

I like it next to all that stitching...

Did You See....?

At the beginning of December, I had a table at the
Waldorf School Holiday Faire .....
..... and these are some of the goods I sold:

 These felt flower pins (brooches)
are fun to make and I wear them almost everyday.

The other ones are French Knot Heart pins... XO
Oolie made one and gave it to me ages ago
and I was inspired and made a whole bunch of them
in different colors.
The ones above are my personal favorites.

I'll be teaching these and more at a Fireside Embroidery class
at Los Poblanos on Fri and Sat the 25th and 26th.
Just click here for more information.

thank you

It's been a week of "thank you" cards

I have discovered the joy of a white pen line
on brown paper - JOY!!!
The colors "pop" inside the lines and it makes me
soooooooo happy!

Had to take another photo of the babies:
Jack (lft) is so patient with Tess (rt)
They snuggle each night on the big bed...
... and sometimes take turns in the crate.
...way too cute...

a new day

Here are the dogs

After losing Kipper in June, we got lucky in November.
Jack, our 95 lb lab is on the left.
Tess, our new ridgeback, on the right.

Timing is everything.

Love to all.

paper clay

gosh... I love paper clay!

I made these trees a few weeks ago
for Christmas
They ended up being the only things I made.

I did finish them...
though most of them stayed on my mantel
along with toadstools..

... and birds

Hope your Christmas was MERRY all 'round
Ours was quiet.. and snowy
