LACE in the Dordogne

We spent Wednesday at Ali Baba and then Brantome - nice day, but we were pooped out when we got back
The lace I found was satisfying, though, and for the first time I was pretty discerning in my choices. I was pleased to find some different little "dentelles" for my collection.

And, how does one resist the bindings and lace ribbon?

I can't.

Now, the rains have come and we are tucked into l'Espace working on our projects.

We were in Riberac this morning for the market. We had some lunch and then hopped in the car to be home. Some are napping and some are cozy at our tables being worker bees. I will share the results tomorrow.

It is July in France and the sunflower fields are bursting! The weather has been up and down - lots of sun mixed with huge thunderstorms that cool everything off. Awoke to fog yesterday, but today is blissfully filled with sunlight peeking through the clouds....glorious.

There was a festival in town a couple of weeks ago and the "flowers" are still in place. It is so magical (!) and they last through the storms because they are all plastic! Fantastic.....

I am so happy to be here again....kind of like my Mecca......

More later......have a great day wherever you are....xo

New World

I have been PAINTING! It is a whole new world for me and I LOVE IT,
I must thank my friend, Jodi, for inspiring me to go to the class with her. It has given me new energy.

Is may be my favorite one so far.......

....though I like this one very much also.....

...and these three birds make my smile!

What FUN it is to try something new......

Hope you are having a great day today, too......xoxo

I have been taking a class on Tuesday evenings the last 6 weeks and it has opened new windows of inspiration for me....I am soooooo grateful to my friend, Jodi, for introducing me to this New World!

This may be my favorite, though I feel that way about most of them......

.....and I LOVE this one, too! So different for me.....

...and not last OR least, these birds make me smile.

Wonder where this will take me......

Hope you are ALL having a great day.......xoxo

A New Project

I started this heart back in November.
I have finally returned to it and am pretty happy about the way it is coming along.

It is a birthday gift for my young friend, Addison.

She is home from college for an internship and I want to give it to her this weekend.

I sure hope she likes it.

Looking Back

Here are a few photos of some of the goodies I made for the Faire at Christmastime.
Since I had not figured out how to upload photos at that time, I thought I would post them now.

I really LOVE these little lambs that I made. Each one has its own personality!

I made them from paper clay and then gave them matchstick legs and sawdust "wool"

Hoping to get my etsy shop up by Tuesday!!

Please look for it, okay?
